Dear Sir/madam,
the email below was sent to the New Zealand OKUMA agent in respect to the SALINA 30 reel that I have owned for over a year now, and its amazing capabilities for such a small reel.I have not heard back from them so thoguth to send you this email and photos as I thought it could be good for the marketing of these reels for you.
The two snapper in the photo's attached were caught in shallow water on 4kg line, and weighed 10.3kg and 9.7kg, caught on the SALINA 30 on 4kg mono filament. If I had been a member of a IGFA club, this may have been a ratified record, but I am not sure.
Also is there a team OKUMA in NZ? how can one aspire to become a member of such a team?
I am a very deicated fisherman, who fishes upto 4 times per week, mainly for snapper on light line.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards Oliver W

Im not sure if this email is going to the right person, but the photos attached are a credit to the manufacturers of the OKUMA SALINA 30 eggbeater, and I believe you guys are the agents in NZ .
I purchased the Salina reel from Top Catch , Westhaven 12 months ago , and recently prior to my once a month Fishing trip to Great Barrier I spooled it up with 4kg Line , also done at Top Catch.

Whist fishing off the rocks, in the middle of the day on a fresh slab of Kahawai, on the eastern seaboard on Great BArrier, where it was only 3 metres deep, I managed to land a 10.3kg Snapper on 4kg line, and this was caught on the Okuma Salina reel.
What an amazing feet on such a little reel, the drag in it was priceless at the time, and was so smooth, imperative when having only 4kg of of line breaking strain.
PS- The photos were taken on my phone camera.
Cheers
